Bacchus half marathon

Hi, hope you had a nice weekend. I run two half marathons this month, and this Sunday, I ran the one near Dorking. 皆さんいい週末を過ごされましたか？私は今月ハーフマラソンを2つ走る事になっているのですが、昨日の日曜日はサリーのDorking という所で開催されました、バッカスハーフマラソンに出てきました。 It's called Bacchus Marathon! (Bacchus is a God of Vine, Grape harvest, winemaking etc.) バッカスとはギリシャ神話のワインの神様らしいです。 We started from a wine estate called Denbies and ran around North Downs. Yes, your guess is right, we drink wine as we run! There are 6 wine stations a ring the way! And they encourage us wearing fancy dress. スタートはDenbies というワインエステイト。そう、このレースではレースの途中に6つのワインステーションがあるのですー。そして参加者は仮装することが推奨されています。(絶対ではないです)

Where is Wally? ウォーリーを探せ。ブドウ畑を背に。 I ran with about 12 experienced runners(lots of full and ultra marathons under their belts) and even though we ran really slow, the course was quite hilly, and with wine, it was hard for me just to catch up with them, so couldn't take much photos... 12人程の日本人ランナーの方々と一緒に走らせていただいたのですが、皆さんフルマラソンも、山の中走るトレイルマラソンも、160kmとかのマラソンとか走りまくっている方々ですのでいつも10kmとかハーフをちょろっと走っているだけの私には少しキツイコースで、写真を撮る余裕があまりなく。。。

I this it was around 4km. And goal. Lol. そしてゴール！笑飛びすぎ。

We had BBQ after the race and more wine, of course! レースの後はバーベキュー、そしてまたワイン。。。 And got some bottles of wine and beer. そしてちょっとお買い物も。

It was well organised and fun race. I would recommend you strongly ! Plenty of food at the water /wine stations, and there are so many lovely Volunteers along the way. とても行き届いた運営で、ドリンクと共にいつもポテトチップスやらケーキやら置いてあったり、それを提供して頂いたボランティアの方々や、道案内のボランティアの方々には本当に感謝です。余談。私の買った衣装の包装に付いてた写真
