Peru

Hi! 

As you know or may have noticed, MOSAIQUE LONDON  is closed from 4th February for about a couple of weeks. 

皆さまご存知の通り、モザイクロンドンは4日から2週間お休みをいただいております。

The reason why is as always, I (Ryoko) am away. 

それは何故なら、私りょうこが休暇をいただいているからです。

Yes, I'm in Peru. 

そうです。ペルーにやってきました。

As some of you already know, I have travelled South /Central America before and I am always fascinated by the nature /history /culture of the countries. 

お客様に何度かお話した事があるかもしれませんが、以前中南米を旅行した事があるのですが、訪れる度にその自然、歴史、文化にとても感動しています。

And this time, I had my 40th birthday last month and wanted to celebrate my way. 

そして今回、先月40歳の誕生日を迎えまして、自分へのプレゼントとしてこの旅行を計画しました。

I am in Lima now. I arrived last night after nearly 20 hours after I left home. 

家を出てから20時間後に到着して、今は首都リマにおります。

It was so foggy just next to the sea. 

I walked around the city and took a tour at a historical site and burned my foot (forgot applying sun cream), then visited museum of Japanese immigrants in Peru. I was somehow so moved by the exhibition. 

I will write about it tomorrow.

今日は街を歩き回り、遺跡を見学し、日本人ペルー移住資料館を見学して、なんだか感動してしまいました。
